I DID IT!!!
After two years of working hard, I graduated with an Associates of Science with an Magna Cum Laude honor. I am so proud of myself and I'm halfway done until I get to become an educator.
Book Review: Sharing You by Molly McAdams
My Review: When I first began reading, Sharing You, I wasn't so sure if this book was my cup of tea. I had struggles with accepting the fairytale quality of Brody and Kamryn's 'love at first sight'. It just didn't feel believable that they instantly had strong feelings for each other after knowing each other for all of two seconds and without saying a single word to each other.
I also had troubles with the hard breaks that happened throughout the book. I felt as if the author would be building up a good flow, only to break that flow by ending the chapter or switch POVs. The switch felt harsh and sometimes had me backtracking to make sure I didn't skip any pages. 4/5 STARS
Book Review: Silver Shadows by Richelle Mead
My Review:
I didn't know to expect in 'Silver Shadows' after reading 'The Fiery Heart', especially with how it ended. Silver Shadows exceeded my expectations and captivated me in a way that had me flying in bliss. I LOVE how the story went and can't wait to read what Richelle Mead has in store for the next book.
The struggles and obstacles that Adrian and Sydney had to face in order to be together had me glued to the pages of this novel. I could hardly put the book down, and was left wanting more. The love that burns between Adrian and Sydney is so real and consuming that I can't wait for them to receive their HEA without all the danger and drama that seems to follow them wherever they are.
Even though the story ended on a cliffhanger that will surely and slowly drive me insane, the little twist at the end is enough to appease me somewhat until I can get my hands on a copy of the next part of the story, The Ruby Circle. 5/5 STARS
Book Review: Owning Violet by Monica Murphy
My Review:
First, I would like to say that I received this in a giveaway on LibraryThing.
Owning Violet is a fast paced and very sexy-there is a definite emphasis on sex in this novel. I really loved how Monica Murphy gave Violet and Ryder different personalities that is very distinguishable in the book. I wish the story line would have had more depth to it, but it was a nice read nonetheless. There is a sense of growth from the Violet and Ryder, but I found myself sometimes annoyed with them, which is surprising since I usually love the hot and cold emotions in relationships between characters.
Overall, I enjoyed Owning Violet. 4/5 STARS
Book Review: All Broke Down by Cora Carmack
My Review:
Wow! After reading All Lined Up, I was not expecting this story to be like this. Carmack really turned up the heat and passion in All Broke Down, and I LOVE it! From start to finish this story is all-consuming and blazing with the right amount of angst, passion, and sexy to create a book that is captivating. Silas is just the right amount of tempting bad boy that has a big heart and just needs to find love to fill the gaps in his life- all wrapped up in a sexy football package :) 5/5 STARS
Book Review: All Lined Up by Cora Carmack
My Review:
From beginning to end this book held my attention. I loved how Dallis and Carson meet as well as how their relationship grows. I would give the book five stars, but the story felt rushed- like it was missing crucial that would have taken the story from great to outstanding. I still love the story and can't wait to read the next book. 4/5 STARS
