Movie Review: The Hunger Games

My Review: An amazing film, especially since it's based on a remarkable book series. The cast for the characters were perfect, as was how the story was portrayed. Quite outstanding- even if they left out quite a few things from the book.  I especially loved how we got to see they gamesmarkers working while the tributes were in the arena.  This is definitely a movie worth seeing.  5/5 STARS

Movie Review: DragonBall Evolution

My Review: Despite all the negative comments I've read, I thought the movie was alright and I'm a fan of the DBZ cartoon. If you base this movie on the anime series, then you'll most likely be disappointed. Watching this movie without any high expectations and it isn't too bad. Sure, it could have been better, but it was entertaining enough that I would be willing to watch it again.  The cast worked well together and were endearing in their own ways.  4/5 STARS

Movie Review: Moulin Rouge

Moulin Rouge is truly an inspiring, outstanding, amazingly, fantastic musical.  It's Spectacular, spectacular!!  The cast that was played for each character was perfect.  The songs are amazing.  The love story between Satine and Christian is one that far succeeds that of Romeo and Juliet.  This is a movie that I could watch over and over again.  6/5 STARS

Movie Review: Hachi: A Dog's Tale

Hachi is a truly special movie.  The loyalty and dedication of Hachi to his master, the Professor, is touching and endearing.  The fact that the movie is based on a true story makes it even more awe-inspiring.  The love between man and man's best friend in this movie will bring tears to the eyes.  5/5 STARS

Movie Review: Nanny Diaries

A Little Bit About the Movies: A college graduate goes to work as a nanny for a rich New York family. Ensconced in their home, she has to juggle their dysfunction, a new romance, and the spoiled brat in her charge.

My Review: Imagine that your in the park and run into a little boy when his mother finally finds him. When you say your name is 'Annie' but the mother thinks you say that you're a nanny and offers you a job. Next thing you know; you lie to your mom, you strain your relationship with your best friend, your employer's husband hits on you, and you become a slave to the mother. You run all the errands and when told you aren't allowed to date, the cute guy from the same building as you is relentless into going out with you. Even though you want to tear your hair out you fall in love with... the little boy you are taking care of and can't help feel the pull he has on you as you watch him suffer with a shaky household. What are you going to do when it comes time to let go of that life to embrace a new one?

Nanny Diaries is a heart-warming comedy.  It will have you laughing and will touch your heart.  It really is a great movie and the characters did an outstanding job.  5/5 STARS

Movie Review: Grease 2

A bit about the movie:    The sequel to the 1978 hit movie, GREASE 2 is set in the early 1960’s when a new British student, Michael Carrington (Caulfield), rides into town and joins the ranks at Rydell High. A book nerd who immediately falls for the blonde bombshell leader of the Pink Ladies, Stephanie Zinone (Pfeiffer), Michael finds himself smitten, but out of his element. Knowing that the Pink Ladies are the hippest clique of chicks at Rydell, who only date their equals in coolness - the T-Birds, Michael sets out to turn from a geek to a greaser to see if he can win the gorgeous Stephanie’s heart.

My Review:   I found this movie to be amazing.  In my opinion, Grease 2 is one of those rare sequels were the sequel is better than the first.  The characters were well chosen and worked great together.  The songs were catchy and intriguing.  The plot/storyline  flowed well and held my attention.  (Not to mention, Maxwell Caulfield's accent was alluring and sexy.)  This is a movie I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a slightly older film with singing.  4/5 stars
