The Busy Bee that is Me

I can't believe it's been months since I last posted on the blog, reviewed a book, or anything else that once brought me joy; and what a crazy last few months it has been.  Really, to be honest, it has been a crazy past few years.  One of the reasons for the craziness, is that I'm am so close to finishing my Elementary Education degree, which has taken up a lot of my time and energy.  I also lost my grandpa this past summer to Leukemia and other health issues.  I went on a trip to Portland, Oregon for a Bruno Mars concert with a childhood friends, which was AMAZING!

Once all the craziness settles down, at least a little bit, I will get back into the habit of posting to my blog and other activities that I have been slacking on over the last few years.

Neglected....

My poor blog has suffered some great neglect these past few years, especially this year. My only excuse is that other items in my life have taken precedence of my time. I'm in my junior year of college and am currently working on my Level II courses in the Elementary Education program. I'm also helping to take care of my grandparents who have medical needs that require extensive assistance as well as helping to take care of my cousins' children who often feel like my own children. I've been assisting my aunt and cousin with their online clothing and jewelry store (you should check it out- I'll post a link at the end of this post) as well as their crafts for different boutiques that the attend. I work part time at a small cafe as well. My plate is quite full with the various jobs that I do, homework, and sleep which has resulted in the neglect of my blog. I've even been slacking with my reviews among other items that I used to blog about. I will try to post more often and want to wish everyone a Happy Holiday for the end of this year.

I DID IT!!!

After two years of working hard, I graduated with an Associates of Science with an Magna Cum Laude honor. I am so proud of myself and I'm halfway done until I get to become an educator.

My apology....

For those who read my blog, I apologize for the absence of posts these last few months. I'm in my second semester of college and it was a very time consuming semester. I've have been helping taking care of my grandparents who have had some health issues and now need assistance as well. I also have been working to pay for my bills. For those reasons, I have not had much time or energy for anything else.

What's New....

I am officially a college student.  YAY!!  I am majoring in elementary education and can not wait until I become an official educator.  With my own classroom and all the smiling faces of my students :) Since I am in college, my life now revolves around work, school, homework, sleep, with an occasional meal and fun activity.  This is the reason why I haven't been posting to my blog or been getting many reviews done.

1. What is the best book you have read with a swoon worthy hero?  

     The Tiger's Curse Series by Colleen Houck- Ren and Kishan are both very swoon worthy.

2. Do you prefer Paranormal or Contemporary in your books?

    Mostly paranormal, but I don't mind a contemporary every once in awhile.

3. What is your favorite series?

    As of this year, my favorite series is the Tiger's Curse series with Vampire Academy/Bloodlines as a close second.

Tiger's Destiny has been on the shelves since Sept. 4, and I still haven't received mine.  I don't think I'll preorder anymore- it just takes too long to receive through the mail when I could just go to the nearest walmart or barnes and noble and buy the book the day it comes out (I know, I know- you're probably wondering why I didn't just do this in the first place.  I preorder Tiger's Destiny because it would have saved me about $7).  *sighs and sniffles 'I need to read what happens next'*

For once in a long time, I have quite a few books to read.  Some I have read before and just rereading to make my goal of finishing 100 books before midnight December 31, 2012 and others are new.

Tiggy and Cheerio

Meet Tiggy (left) and Cheerio (right), my new hamsters (They love being in their little igloo home).  Tiggy and Cheerio are Roborovski hamsters- the smallest and fastest of the hamster family.  They're so small and cute, and very hard to hold on to when they want to run.  Their fur is so silky soft that and seems to help them escape between the fingers.
