Book Review: Blood of Kings by Billy Wong
My Review: *** I received this in the Member Giveaway on LibraryThing ***
I really enjoyed reading Blood of Kings. The story was captivating and refreshingly new. The characters were distinguished and I just loved Mildy! She was quite a riot to read. Her spirit and beliefs added so much to this book. Billy Wong did an outstanding job when creating her personality. I loved how it was set in Camelot with King Author, Merlin, Lancelot, etc..., along with a few characters that were new and complimented the story quite well.
Overall, I would recommend this book to others. My only real problem with the book was the pace. For me, it felt as if the story would be going along steady and then jump, steady, jump, etc... Not a big deal, but it was enough for me to comment on. 4/5 STARS

Book Review: So Much It Hurts by Monique Polak
My Review: *** I won this book in a LibraryThing contest***
Overall, I enjoyed 'So Much It Hurts'. This book was a bit fast paced- a little too fast, but the story was good. The characters were well-developed, and had a voice of their own that was unique. I never found myself bored with the story, but I did get quite frustrated with Iris.
I could see the story of So Much It Hurts really happening, and it does happen which added the appeal to this book. Monique Polak has created a story that can reach out to people in situations like 'Iris and Mick', and help them realize that they are not alone.
I would recommend this book as a book worth reading, even if though I became insanely frustrated with Iris. 4/5 STARS

Book Review: The Deepest Night by Shana Abe (Book 2 of The Sweetest Dark Series)
My Review:
*** I received this book through the LibraryThing: Early Reviewer Contest ***
First of all, I would like to say that I have NOT read 'The Sweetest Dark', the first book of the series. I don't usually read out of order, but I received this book for review and wanted to get it reviewed in a promptly manner. Thankfully, Shana Abe wrote a story that I was able to read without becoming terribly lost for not reading the first book.
From the very beginning of the book, I was completely hooked! This story is so tantalizing and fun that I had trouble putting it down. It's not very often that I get to read book about dragons who can shapeshift into human forms that go on dangerous adventures, and I loved every page of it!
Shana Abe has created a remarkable story with remarkable characters. Lora and Armand are endearing characters that had me laughing quite often. I wish I could jump into the book and be apart of their story, especially flying above the clouds!
The Deepest Night is definitely a novel I would recommend! I can not wait to read the first one and see what will happen next to the Dragons in this original and compelling series. 5/5 STARS

Book Review: Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire
My Review: Let me just say this.... I LOVE IT! Beautiful Disaster was on of the books that completely hooked me in from start to finish. The words that covered it's many pages sent me on a whirlwind of emotions throughout the entire book. Abby and Travis are such a hot-tempered, overly dramatic, enticing characters that I had a hard time not liking them- in fact, I sort of fell in love with Travis, but it was one of those love/hate kind of ordeals. I haven't read a book that had affected me this much in awhile. This is definitely a book I plan on buying in the future, and reading over and over again!!! 6/5 STARS
