Book Review: Pursuer by Monique Morgan
My Review: I received this book from a LibraryThing the Membership Giveaway.
When I first began, Pursuer, I wasn't quite sure that I would enjoy it, but the more I read, the more I was enthralled with the story. Monique Morgan has created a fresh story that is not only captivating, but is unique.
The story flowed beautifully, and was fast paced. I was quite intrigued with the idea of the mysterious island full of people who possess skills that are extraordinary, not to mention the savage beasts and exotic, yet dangerous plants. I may be the only one, but while reading I envisioned the island to resemble the breath-taking beauty and colors that take place in the movie, Avatar.
Let's not forget about the clans that each hold extraordinary gifts and talents- some that are spiritual, some that are lethal, and some that are still a mystery; the hot and cold passion between Zanas and Dressdon that could drive any girl insane; and the sense of discovery of where Zanas belongs in the world- a place where she feels home.
Pursuer is a quick, fun read. When reading, I almost felt as if they Zanas and Asenya left this world and entered a new one, that is both enticing and dangerous. Though the story felt quite short, shorter than what I would prefer, I know that I would read this story again, and I can not wait to read this next book of this promising series. 4/5 STARS
